well, "Serge" is a russian name, and "Borah" is a historical figure... William E. Borah U.S. senator during and after WW1...

IMO, those two have nothing in common exept the I use them...lol

I knew a co-worker named Sergey at the CompUSA where I used to work. He came from Belarus, or however it is spelled and he spoke fluent Russian. Every time I asked him how to pronounce something, it would always be too long or to quick to master. I've since suspended my Russian lessons in favour of other easier languages. No offense, but learning a new character system and a new way of pronouncing words was too much for me. Kind of like trying to learn Mandarin. (I even think that Polish and Finnish are easier to read and pronounce.) Oh well.

And yes, learning a new language with different pronounciations is a terrible thing

Terribly difficult, but by no means terrible.

You know, I don't recall him ever saying which city that he was from. I've not seen him in a couple of years.
