I dunno about you, but those Intel Core Duo processors seem pretty nice.

Intel?
you're kidding me... I watched a vid of a G5 vs. G5 with an Intel processor in it... the G5 (no Intel) started off and loaded MUCH faster than the G5 with Intel processor (which they thought will make it faster)
It took Intel like 1 minute longer to load a Mac OS... how sad?
I guess Mac should not try to interbreed with other stuff... just use all the hardware built by Apple

Actually, Apple doesn't build any of their own hardware. Samsung, Sony, IBM, Motorola, Western Digital, Logitech, and now Intel take care of the hardware, manufactured to Apple's standards.
The Intel Core Duo is not a Pentium processor. The G5 can outperform an Intel Pentium 4 w/HT, but not the Intel Core Duo.
Speaking of The Lion King addictions, Disney used a team of Windows and Macintosh computers to create the video sequences in The Lion King, two examples are the Wildebeest Chase scene and the CYFTLT scene, comprised of Mac and Windows computers, both using a combination of Maya and Quicktime.

nice... but I'd use a Mac, and leave the Windows for the story lines, and typing emails
And I was told that everything in a Mac comes from Apple... so, I won't take sides, but I still hold a strong opinion that Windows is somewhere down there, and Mac is at the top

I may not be acquainted with that but what does Quicktime have to do with animation?

I guess you make it with Maya, and play it with quicktime

Actually, that's exactly what they do. Quicktime files are first created from initial animations and saved as a "digital storyboard." They are later finished, and edited and eventually made into parts of the movie. ILM takes these video sequences and finishes the movie.

They've even got parts that were taken away from Sarafina. I've got the original scans on my personal archive.

It is sad that I have not been aware of digital.lionking.org
I should spend some more time browsing it later, but I would first ask if it is really about aditional TLK materials - like fan-made clips, images and so..
.. like fanart.lionking.org?

Lion King Digital is an archive of data from the making of TLK and a bunch of sweet extras that you won't find on the videos or DVDs.
