I just realised that I wrote in this forum exactly one year ago. This year Christmas was more low key, I didn't go to midnight mass, instead I watched Phantom of the Opera on DVD (My Christmas gift). Mmmmmmmmm.
I also made olivye, which is a Russian Salad (which the Russians call French salad..) and it was good. I am pleased. Christmas dinner was a very non-traditional meal, by which I mean no turkey. We had lemon sole and vegetables, pate, and stollen that I brought back from my trip to Amsterdam for dessert. And we watched the BBC adaptation of The Importance of Being Earnest.
I managed to fit in some microeconomics too. Go social welfare functions!
As you can probably see, I am not much phased by Christmas, I prefer the New Year


To close, I'd like to mention my dislike of TV ads telling you to buy up the shop store before Christmas, then on the 25th there are non-stop ads of the sales starting Boxing Day. Grr.
