Good question!! Because I try to see Nala´s features and Sarabi´s features in each real lioness... Why Nala has that colour? I see real lioness and I try to find that things.

The important charakters have to be special so that all people who see the film know who is who. This is an effort.
And the other lionesses are not important and don't have to be able to get distinquished between them, so they are not special.

In the reality lionesses look all the same for us humans. There can be small differents in fur colour, how big they are, or they have lost half an ear
