Hey everyone!
I'm learning how to draw so I created this topic to receive some help and comments. My goal is to draw at least once every week so that way I get better.
A little background from me - I drew some while I was child, but didn't really get into it until last year, so I have a really late start.
I might stop posting for a while since I get busy at school sometimes, but I will still check periodically.
Also, maybe this topic can help other people that want to learn how to draw.

So Yeah! I'm actually quite excited that I've decided to do this, especially because almost everyone here are amazing artists! I really look up to you all. Very inspired.

My first true sketch! It's a lioness holding onto a tree branch being swung violently. I have no idea why this even came to my mind. I know the anatomy is off, I just can't tell what it is. I probably should have looked at a reference or something. The perspective might be off but not so sure.
So what do you all think? I'm going to finish this eventually.

add some contrast cause now it's hard to see the scetch

The front right paw should be further from the edge of further away on the branch; try continuing it to the shoulder and you'll see that now its ... or so it feels. Eyes frown open are expressive, but looks like you overdid it and forgot about their shape The top edge of the area surrounding the eye shouldn't be that rounded, and there should be more space above the eyes to leave room for the skull; according to my books, that part of the skull is almost as long as the muzzle. After a closer look flews also look a bit off, like they should be a little bit higher and more curved, but maybe that's just me. Overall the sketch looks expressive and I like the perspective too. Keep up the good work!

Cheap? Really? sounds like very expensive to me mine cost $20 and it's five years old and still works like new

I got a new Bamboo One for $90 back when Wacom was selling them. It's A6 though

It's more like "dirt-cheap" in your case

Yeah, I was implying that it isn't the best quality, but it works and it's big. Monoprice does sell actual cheap ones at smaller sizes. Link The pen uses a AAA battery but it still feels alright. I can sometimes feel the button tip click, but I'm not really picky. They also sell better pens. At the same time it isn't bad quality since I dropped a golf ball on it when I was juggling, nearly giving me a heart attack, but it was fine! O.o

I worked on drawing a little more. I changed the tree limb so the perspective would look better. I'm still working off of Shnatsel's feedback. I think the facial expression could use some work.
