A feelings like these, I felt when I was watching Zootopia. (not so strong, although)
I think, that's because it was a separate world without people and their technology, something different.
(How much Disney cartoons do you know, without humans and technology?)

I'm a bit of a net archaeologist myself. The are public archives for The Lion King mailing list, I'm interested in grepping for and reading John Burkitt's posts there. That's one of the two guys who wrote the Chronicles of the Pride Lands.
