Which do you think is the best Disney movie UP TO this very moment?

I definitely think The Lion King is the best movie till this moment but Finding Nemo and Brother Bear are cute as well... but just not masterpieces.

A very important P.S.:
The subject here is not to say which movie is a masterpiece and which is not... just EXPRESS your OWN opinion. As I have already said "Different people => Different points of views" - it is interesting to know what others think!

This is my top 5:
1)TLK (and SP after them)
2)Oliver
3)Brother bear
4)Beauty and a Beast
5)Treasure planet

these films i like best of all : The Lion king (OFF COURSE!)(even SP and 1 1\2) then i like almost all movie, at least i like music and songs, it's great! beauty and the beast the second movie i like. What about songs and music. i like it in : Aladdin(but i don't like movie), Brother bear, now i can't amagine any else, may be after sorry for my english, i don't speak on it a long time

I find The Lion King as the best Disney-Movie trough all time.
However the sequel was a disoppintment.
I mean the artistic-style was so different i had very hard to believe it was a disney movie @ all... But the storyline held up and saved the movie.
That's my opinion.

I agree with you but movie was saved thanks for songs, and animation of Zira, kovu and kiara when they are cubs, nuka and his sister was good.
So i can't say that i'really dislike SP at all because it have only one bad thing - it's animation

I'm not saying the artistic-style was bad... not @ all, It's actually quite good but it's so different from the first one so i couldn't @ first associate the first movie with the second.

but i still don't like it - simba looks a little fat, nala's eyes is so blue! it's like she wear a contact lens! (sorry for my bad english) and simba is so red!

Yeah, they missed out on alot of details on the "oldschool"-characters but apart from that it was pretty nice but it didn't have the high standard as the frist movie had.

i still hold my opinion - i like only songs and idea of movie. not animation- but its just my mind

The Lion King 2 - Simba's pride was a disappointment.
The movie didn't have any of the high standards from the first movie.
The only thing in my opinion that helds up is the storyboard and the songs.
(Except "In Youpendi" or whatever it's name is... It's to dopey! )

I do respect Disney for their hard work on TLK 1 but as for 2 and 3 - I am not quite sure but...
1. From one side they are cool movies - a TLK
2. From other side they are just "added" to complete the trilogy.
At that very moment I cannot possibly say "I like it" or "I do not like it" I would be pretty subjective. However, it is a flat fact that TLK 1 is the best of all.

Indeed... I couldn't agree more.

My favourite Disney movies are:
1. The Lion King
2. Aladdin
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Bambi
5. A Little Mermaid

But I also like Toy Story, though I exclude it from the Disney-Disney list, as it is not only a Pixar contribution (which is also what made the sequel *not* crappy, and actually enjoyable, incidentally) but 3D as well. I think that traditional Disney, i.e. 2D animation is the core competence which Disney should concentrate on. 2D animation is losing favour with the children of today, so it needs to be reinflated by somebody as big as Disney. Leave the 3D to Dreamworks and Pixar, who can actually do it well.

At the time of typing, Disney left 2D animation.

I also denounce any sequel that was made for Disney's 2D animation, especially those that went Direct-to-Video. In case anyone wonders why they weren't released at the cinema, it is due to the low budget and relative poorness of the project, in all respects.

Can you tell I have issues ??
